Bishkek, Aug.23, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov got acquainted with the progress of installation of dynamic system of weight and dimensions control of motor vehicles near the Ak-Tilek checkpoint.
The Government’s press service said the deputy prime minister inspected the installed equipment, photo and video cameras, as well as familiarized with the activities of the transport control and registration of goods.
Razakov instructed the relevant sate bodies to ensure the full implementation of the weight and size control system at the post as soon as possible.
"The dynamic system of automated weight and dimensional control is important for us, because it allows us to weigh vehicles on the move and timely identify vehicles that exceed the permissible weight. The system must be fully operational and send a summary to a central server. This will allow the full administration of the process of import and export of goods and cargo through the EAEU territory," he said.
In addition, Deputy PM Razakov instructed to integrate this automated system of the Ministry of Transport and Roads with the database of the State Tax Service under the Government.
Note that the Transport Ministry within the framework of the First Phase of the Central Asia Road Traffic Improvement Programme, financially supported by the World Bank, purchased in 2017 a dynamic system of weight and dimensional control of motor vehicles to be installed at the Sosnovka and Kemin border crossing points.
The need to introduce modern technologies is related to the damage caused by overloaded or improperly loaded road surface transport, which in turn requires expensive investments in road repair.
