AKIPRESS.COM - Osh region every year exports more than 1,000 ton of sweet cherry to Russia and Kazakhstan, regional governor Uzarbek Jylkybayev told a press conference on August 27.
According to him, the region supplies also meat and honey.
"In general, more than 1,000 ton of cherry is exported to Russia and Kazakhstan. This year the product is started to be supplied to China. Cherry is sorted, packed and meets all requirements," Jylkybayev noted.
Except for agricultural products, the region exports cement, travertine and cotton.
There are three logistics centers in Osh, Aravan and Nookat districts, the governor said.
Two cement plants operate in Aravan district. Kara-Suu and Uzgen towns export their travertine to Russia and Uzbekistan.
