AKIPRESS.COM - Activists in Kazakhstan were banned to hold a rally in favor of the LGBT communities in the capital city of Kazakhstan, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported as spokeswoman of the city administration Akmaral Olzhabayeva saying.
"A written appeal on permission of holding rallies can not be satisfied, as the content of the appeal does not comply with the requirements of laws and regulations," she said.
Requirement for holding campaigns at public places are regulated by the law of Kazakhstan on the procedure of organization and holding peaceful rallies, protests and marches in the country, she added.
Written appeals on holding rallies, protests, marches are submitted no later than 10 days before the scheduled date of holding, according to her.
Those violating the established rule of holding of rallies will be in line with the legislation of Kazakhstan, Olzhabayeva said.
