Kyrgyz vice prime minister meets with Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2019. / Kabar /. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Altynai Omurbekova met with Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
Omurbekova noted that the Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the Kyrgyz-Chinese relations of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation, which are developing dynamically in all areas of interaction, the press service of the government said.
"China is one of the important strategic partners of the Kyrgyz Republic and the leadership of our country attaches great importance to the development of bilateral relations. There are all opportunities between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China for the further progressive development of bilateral relations, which can be described as trusting and mutually beneficial," Omurbekova said.
She expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the successful organization of staging the Manas opera in Bishkek on June 11-12, 2019, and also informed the Chinese ambassador that the Kyrgyz side decided to award artists and representatives of the Chinese Opera and Ballet Theater the state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Ambassador Du Deven said that the Kyrgyz Republic is a friend, important and reliable partner for China, and the Chinese side attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of friendly relations.
The parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare, culture, education, innovative and digital technologies, as well as issues of interaction between higher education institutions of the two countries.
In addition, the Chinese side invited Omurbekova to the VII China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum, which will be held in October 2019 in the city of Nanjing.
At the end of the meeting, Omurbekova noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the development of bilateral cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
