AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov on August 28 received the new Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan Yakup Beris, the MFA reports.
They discussed cooperation issues of the current 5-year cooperation program for 2016-2020, implementation of agenda until 2030 and the sustainable development goals at the meeting.
Atamkulov said that the government of Kazakhstan is carrying out a systematic work on implementation of the sustainable development goals. He praised the development of cooperation between the government and the UNDP and projects implemented in Kazakhstan.
On the same day, the Foreign Minister received Representative of UNICEF in Kazakhstan Arthur van Diesen. They vowed to continue cooperation on implementation of projects aimed at development of juvenile justice, creation of legal system in favor of children.
