Deputy PM Omurbekova meets with authors of National Flag of Kyrgyz Republic

Bishkek, Aug.30, 2019. /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova met with authors of the National Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Aidarbekov, Bekbosun Zhaichybekov and Zhusup Matayev.
The meeting was held on the eve of the 28th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day, the press service of the Government said.
Congratulating the authors of the National Flag on the significant event, Omurbekova noted their contribution to strengthening the independence of the country.
The authors thanked the Government for the attention paid to them on the eve of the country's Independence Day.
"We are proud every time the flag of Kyrgyzstan is raised high. This is not because we are the authors of the flag, but because it is the main symbol of our country," the authors said.
The meeting also touched upon the issue of providing support to the authors by the state for the contribution made to the strengthening of the country's statehood.
The National Flag has been approved by the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic on Mar. 3, 1992. The authors of the Flag are Edil Aidarbekov, Bekbosun Zhaichybekov, Zhusup Matayev, Sabyr Iptarov and Mamatbek Sydykov.
