'It’s time to close a "honeypot" for officials' – Tokayev on state purchases

AKIPRESS.COM - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev offered to launch the population's evaluation system of effectiveness of local authorities' works as a pilot project. During his address to the nation, he said if more than 30% of residents as a result of a survey believe that the head of a city or a village is not working, than this will be a reason for creation of a special commission.
The volume of state purchases in 2018 amounted to 4.4 trillion tenge, including 3.3 trillion tenge (75%) were held in a noncompetitive manner according to some source, Tokayev's press service posted on Twitter.
"It's time to close this "honeypot" for officials," Tokayev says.
