President Tokayev meets new Ombudsman of Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received new Ombudsman of the country Elvira Azimova, Akorda press service reported. The head of state at the meeting pointed out the basic works and tasks that should be resolved by the newly appointed Ombudsman.
In addition, Tokayev ordered to strengthen cooperation with the parliament and government, as well as international human rights organizations.
On September 2, Azimova replaced former Ombudsman Askar Shakirov, who was appointed as assistant to Speaker of the Senate Dariga Nazarbayeva.
