Diagnosis of children allegedly got sick after blasting works in Solton-Sary has nothing to do with cyanide — Ministry of Health

AKIPRESS.COM - Two children that allegedly got sick after blasting operations in Solton-Sary recovered, Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Erkin Checheibayev said on September 3 at the session of the parliamentary committee on fuel and energy complex and subsoil use. According to him, water sample was taken after the incident in Solton-Sary. The analysis showed that water in this settlement does not contain any cyanide.
A 11-year-old child was diagnosed pyoderma, while a 6-year-old was diagnosed syndesmitis, he noted.
"Doctors said they were examined and recommended to receive some treatment in the regional hospital, but their parents refused to leave them in the hospital and took them home. The children were discharged in a good condition," Checheibayev noted.
A report about blasting works at the Chinese Zhong Ji Mining company appeared earlier on media. According to regional governor, the company was carrying out geological exploration works and building access routes.
