Uzbekistan’s Mirziyoyev plans to visit Russia

Tashkent, Sept.5, 2019. /Kabar/. Preparation of the visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was discussed at the meeting, chaired by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, the press service of the ministry said.
"The heads of the involved departments and ministries have outlined the main guidelines and tasks in preparation for the visit at the highest level to the Russian Federation, also aiming to develop new project proposals of high profitability and importance for the integrated development of the national economy," the report says.
Earlier, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin said the visit of the Uzbek leader to Moscow may take place by the end of 2019.
According to him, mutual trade between Russia and Uzbekistan has increased by 20% over the past two years. This is one of the highest indicators among the CIS countries.
