President Tokayev comments on information about Chinese factories in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev asked the citizens not to "fall for rumors from ill-willers, who try to manipulate the patriotic feelings of people", Tengrinews.kz reports. "Rumors appared in these days that the land will be sold to foreigners or 55 old plants of the foreign country will be built and that thousands of foreigners will be employed. Our people should not respond to such things. This kind of rumors comes from ill-willers, who can manipulate the patriotic feelings of people, including using emotional, outrageous people to achieve their certain goals," Tokayev said at the session of the National Council of Public Trust.
Such manipulation is a part of geopolicy, the purpose of which is to disrupt the unity of people, destabilize the situation in Kazakhstan, he noted.
"Our nation is brave and can live with its own mind. The task of authorities is to explain the goals and tasks of the state policy through a dialogue, which is done not enough, to take into the account healthy opinions and proposals. I would like to say again that we will not give the land to anybody and will always listen to the people," he said.
Meanwhile, the President noted that the foreign investments are needed for development.
Several protest actions have been held in the cities of Kazakhstan recently over the "Chinese expansion" and a shortage of jobs for locals.
