Batken celebrates Komuz Day and 30th anniversary of state language

Osh, Sept.9, 2019. /Kabar/. The Komuz Day and the 30th anniversary of the state language were celebrated today, Sept. 9 in Batken town.
About 250 komuzists (person who plays the komuz) played the most famous national komuz melodies. Then about a thousand people walked along the central streets of Batken.
The event was attended by representatives of the Batken Oblast state administration, representatives of culture, youth, students and local residents.
Note that, in accordance with Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov’s decree, signed on July 29, 2019 the Komuz Day is celebrated annually on Sept.9.
Komuz is a Kyrgyz national three-stringed musical instrument.
