Samsung to produce refrigerators in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Ceremony of signing a memorandum of understanding between the Technopark companies, the Uzeltehsanoat Association and Samsung Electronics was held in Tashkent on Sept 9.
Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev and Co-CEO of Samsung Electronics Hyun-Suk Kim attended the ceremony of signing of the deal aimed at production of refrigerators under the Samsung brand. 80% of the produced refrigerators will be exported to the CIS.
The construction of a new plant on the basis of the existing Tashkent Mechanical Plant JSC is under way, production of refrigerators is planned in the near future.
Samsung refrigerators production is just the beginning, in the future, more projects will be launched, Uzdaily reported.
