MP says emissions release of Bishkek CHPP is above norm by 7 times over last years

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Ruslan Kazakbayev (Respublica - Ata-Jurt party) during the discussion of the bill on ratification of the Paris Agreement today said that the release of hazardous emmissions from the Bishkek CHPP exceeds the norm by 7 times. Deputy Director of the State Environmental and Forestry Agency Eldiyar Sheripov said that the samples for research are taken in winter.
Kazakbayev then referring to media claimed that the level of carbamide in the Issyk-Kul lake is also above the norm by 20 times.
"No water is flown out of the lake. A lot of people are there. There is a poor sanitation there. Lack of toilets around the lake is also a reason for that," the parliamentarian added.
