Parliament of Kazakhstan ratifies agreement with Nordic Investment Bank

AKIPRESS.COM - Members of the Kazakh Parliament during the plenary session on Wednesday discussed and approved ratification of the framework agreement between Kazakhstan and Nordic Investment Bank signed in Helsinki in October 2018.
The agreement allows to open the activities of Nordic Investment Bank for financing of investment projects in Kazakhstan.
The document establishes the norms that are not provided in the legislation of Kazakhstan, in particular, on convertibility of currency and money transfer, holding of tenders, as well as exemption of stakes and incomes of Nordic Investment Bank from taxes. These terms are standards for international organizations. The agreement does not require introduction of membership fees and other compulsory payments from the budget, Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Ruslan Dalenov said at the plenary session of the lower chamber of the Parliament.
