Emomali Rahmon launches reconstruction of Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt highway project

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in the Vose district, where he laid a foundation stone for the project of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Vose - Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt Highway and held a meeting with the locals, Khovar reports.
The two-lane 60 km highway will be reconstructed with the contribution of the government and the Asian Development Bank.
Following the ground breaking ceremony, President Emomali Rahmon met with the locals and emphased that dozens of socio-economic facilities are being commissioned throughout the country, which is due to the efforts of the government, central and local authorities, hardworking entrepreneurs and generous people who are working furthering the prosperity the country.
Break in the communication deadlock is one of the strategic goals of the government and up to date over 2,800 km of roads, five tunnels and 405 bridges have been reconstructed and renovated.
Six state investment projects worth over 3 billion somoni are being implemented in Khatlon to renovate 316 km of roads and 25 bridges.
Over 200 million somoni will be spent for the reconstruction of the Vose-Hulbuk-Temurmalik- Kangurt road.
President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the timely implementation of these measures will contribute to the implementation of the constructive goals of the government toward improving the standard of living of the people.
