AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his lecture in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences said that his country is ready to share experience in denuclearization process in China, Akorda press service says.
Lecturing for professors and experts of the Academy, as well as Kazakh students the head of state noted that erosion of international rights and weakening of the role of global institutions are posing threats today.
"Tensions in state relations, breaking of previous mechanisms of security and control over weapons, rise of conflicts are all new geopolitical reality. Unfortunately, we see a whole number of critical circumstances that aggravate the difficult as it is international dialogue," Tokayev said.
Among these circumstances, the President said, are geopolitical competitiveness in the economic sphere, as a result of which disbalance in global economy and inequality between the states might rise.
The President also underlined the danger of preserving trouble spot in many parts of the world. He believes that the strong-arm approaches in upholding of interests increase the risks of military clashes.
"As a country refusing from the 4th nuclear weapon in the works, we are ready to share our experience in denuclearization process in China" he noted.
The head of state drew attention to the need to consolidate efforts of the whole international community for resolution of the existing problems. He stressed a special role of the UN in this process and its lack of alternatives as a universal organization.
"Kazakhstan supports the UN and will assist in its activities. We believe that the UN reform should boost the effectiveness and reputation. Our country being elected as permanent member of the UN Security Council has actively called for "restart" of relations in the security sphere. I am convinced that China can constructionally influence the strengthening of the UN importance. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, China plays an important role in this Organization," Tokayev said.
