Jeenbekov gets acquainted with current situation in public finances management

Bishkek, Sept.13. 2019. /Kabar/. Today, Sept.13 Kyrgyzstan’s President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Finance Minister Baktygul Jeenbayeva.
The Kyrgyz President’s press service reported that Jeenbayeva presented information on the current situation in the field of public finances management.
In particular, the President was informed about the progress in the implementation of the republican budget expenditures and revenues, tax revenues, financing of the judicial and legal reform, mortgage lending, construction of regional roads, construction of social housing facilities, measures to prepare for the autumn and winter period, increasing the revenue potential of local budgets and regional development.
The finance minister noted a positive trend on the collection of customs and tax fees based on the results of August 2019, the execution of the budget revenues was ensured. Active work is underway to automate customs procedures and fiscal procedures.
Jeenbayeva stressed that measures are taken to complete the overhaul of roads of district centers and towns, construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges, with a total length of 139.8 km. A sum of KGS 790.4 million is need to carry out road construction work, and to date, the republican budget has allocated funds amounting to KGS 600 million.
Jeenbekov once again emphasized the financing of development projects, infrastructure and state programs on provision of clean water, development of irrigation and digitalization of the country, which is necessary for formation of high-quality production infrastructure for economic development, is of special importance.
The Kyrgyz leader also stressed the importance of full execution of the budget revenues, timely financing of the judicial and legal reform, aimed at building a fair and independent justice system.
