Bishkek, Sept.16, 2019. /Kabar/. Over 2 thousand athletes participated in the Save the Snow Leopard international charity race, held in Bishkek yesterday, Sept. 15, the press service of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports reported.
50 percent of the amount, collected from participants' contributions, will be transferred to the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program (GSLEP). These funds will be used to install camers traps in Ala-Archa park.
The race was attended by amateurs, professional athletes, people with disabilities from 20 countries. The total prize fund of the half marathon amounted to KGS 4 million 500 thousand.
The results are published on nomadsport.
In 21.1 PRO guest from Ukraine Bogdan Gorodyskiy became the first, the second one was Andrey Petrov (Uzbekistan), the third one - Ukrainian Nikolay Nizhnik.
Grentel Shaw Luke (Kyrgyzstan) took the first place in the 21.1 km distance, followed by Russia’s Sergey Zyryanov, and Alexander Antonov (Russia) took the bronze medal.
