Greco-Roman wrestler Atabek Azisbekov to partake in 2020 Tokyo Olympics

AKIPRESS.COM - The Greco-Roman wrestler from Kyrgyzstan Atabek Azisbekov won a license for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Azisbekov competed for medals in the men's up to 87 kg at the World Championship in Nur-Sultan.
Kyrgyz wrestler defeated the athlete from Lithuania in 1/16 finals, but in the 1/8 finals he lost to the Hungarian wrestler.
On September 16, in tournament for bronze Azisbekov defeated wrestlers from Turkmenistan and China.
This result allowed him to reach the TOP-6 in his weight category and win license to the 2020 Olympic Games.
This license has become the third for Kyrgyzstan. Prior to this, swimmer Denis Petrashov and athlete Yulia Andreyeva won a license for the 2020 Olympics.
