Kazakhstan invited to participate in Third Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety

AKIPRESS.COM - The UN Special Envoy for Road SafetyJean Todt invited Kazakhstan to take part in the Third Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, which will be held in Stockholm on February 19-20, 2020, the press service of the Senate of Kazakh Parliament said. Deputy Chairman of the Senate Askar Shakirov on September 16 met with Jean Todt.
They discussed cooperation on increasing road safety. Shakirov said that recommendations of international experts will help impove the national legislation, practice and institutional potential of Kazakhstan.
The UN Special Envoy touched the issues of road safety in the world. He noted that a number of common violations are made on the roads.
The Vice Speaker during the meeting told about implementation of state programs of development of transit potential in Kazakhstan, expansion and improvement of quality of transport roads, as well as a law on vehicular movement.
