Bishkek, Sept.18, 2019. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the victims of the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, undergoing treatment at Bishkek City Clinical Hospital No. 4, his press service reported.
Bishkek Scientific Research Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics Director Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov spoke about the condition of the victims and the medical care they receive.
He stressed all victims of the border conflict receive the necessary medical care; they are under 24-hour medical supervision and are fully provided with medicines.
President Jeenbekov wished all the victims to recover as soon as possible and expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for taking operational measures, he also talked to the relatives of the victims.
The victims received material assistance on behalf of the President.
In the course of a firefight at the state border section in Batken Oblast, 13 people were injured to various degrees, 10 of whom were transported to Bishkek by military transport aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic for treatment. Their condition is assessed as stable, and 5 victims will undergo scheduled operations today.
Kyrgyzstan’s Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev said due to the serious condition of 3 wounded and the impossibility of transporting them, it was decided to treat them in the Leilek Territorial Hospital of Batken Oblast.
