President Jeenbekov, finance minister of Kuwait discuss prospects of investment co-op

Bishkek, Sept.20, 2019. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Minister of Finance of Kuwait Naif Falah Al-Hajraf.
The prospects of financial and investment cooperation between the countries were discussed, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
Jeenbekov noted the increase in bilateral cooperation with Kuwait is one of the priority areas in the foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan.
He expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti side for economic and financial support. In particular, he noted the activity of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects.
The President also noted with satisfaction the positive activity of the As-Salam, As-Safa and Assanabil charitable foundations.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed the need of increasing trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and expressed readiness for joint implementation of projects in the spheres of regional development, digitalization, agriculture, education, medicine, etc.
The finance minister of Kuwait noted the Kuwaiti side is interested in deepening bilateral cooperation in all areas, expressing readiness to consider the existing investment proposals and their joint elaboration.
