863 people obtained citizenship of Turkmenistan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree granting 863 people the citizenship of Turkmenistan.
"As a member of the United Nations, Turkmenistan strictly fulfills all its obligations and, in accordance with the Constitution of the country, as well as various UN conventions on refugees and human rights, provides support to stateless persons," Berdimuhamedov said signing the document at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
He instructed Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Secretary of the State Security Council Yaylim Berdiev to provide passports to new citizens of Turkmenistan within a month.
