Expert says informatics taught in Kyrgyzstan is too weak to enter Russian universities

AKIPRESS.COM - To enter the Russian universities is very difficult for Kyrgyzstanis with their level of knowledge on informatics, specialist of the Yedinstvo (Unity) public fund Liliya Postnikova said at a fair of the Russian universities in Bishkek.
"There is a big difference between Kyrgyz and Russian schools in the informatics program. We can somehow improve the children's level on physics, Russian language and mathematics, but we can not even find a teacher of informatics, who would be able to equal the children's level to the informatics level of Russians," she noted.
The specialist believes that this is due to the fact that there is no Internet connection in a number of schools of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, according to her, there are no specialists, who would teach the informatics as a science.
"This is a very difficult subject. A child should have a good mathematics and physics to understand the informatics. But our children are not always ready to be hard-working in mathematics, which arises such a problem," she said.
