Kyrgyz sportsman Murtazaliev becomes world grappling champion

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2019 / Kabar /. Athlete from Kyrgyzstan Abdurakhman Murtazaliev won first place at the UWW Grappling World Championship in Kazakhstan.
The tournament is held in Nur Sultan ( Kazakhstan). In total Kyrgyzstan has 9 medals, of which one is gold, one is silver and seven are bronze awards.
Murtazaliev performed in the Gi category in the weight category up to 84 kg. In the quarterfinals, he defeated American Jonath Paul, then won Italian Riccardo Betty. In the fight for the title, he met with athlete from Poland Pavel Nedzi, the domestic wrestler was stronger than the opponent.
In another weigh category up to 71 kg, Kyrgyz Abdyldabek Kekenov lost in the final to Russian Gairbek Ibragimov and became the silver medalist of the competition.
