VII International Theatre Festival kicks off in Osh

Osh, Sept.24, 2019. /Kabar/. The ART-ORDO VII International Theatre Festival, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Dzhamal Seidakmatova, has started on Osh.
The opening ceremony of the Festival was attended by First Deputy Mayor of Osh Sayibjan Turduyev, Chairman of the City Council Japarbek Ormonov, Governor of Osh Oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybayev, Adviser to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultan Rayev, Deputy Secretary General of the TURKSOY International Organization of Turkic Culture Bilal Chakydzhy, Representative of the TURKSOY in Kyrgyzstan Kozhogeldi Kultegin.
During the opening ceremony the guests of the Festival - creative teams from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan - walked the red carpet near the Osh National Drama Theatre named after Sultan Ibrayimov. Then the artists of the Oblast Abdykadyrov Philharmonic Society and children's dance groups showed a concert program.
The participants noted the contribution of Dzhamal Seidakmatova to the development of theatrical art in the Kyrgyz Republic. At the end of the opening ceremony the Naryn Oblast Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after Ryskulov showed Zhamilya lyrical drama, based on the work of the same name by famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.
Dzhamal Seidakmatova is a Kyrgyz and Soviet actress of the theatre and cinema. People's Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz SSR named after Toktogul Satylganov. Knight of the Order of Manas 3rd degree (2003) and 2nd degree (2019).
