AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus can start cabotage transportation, said Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Emil Kaikiev during the Eurasian Week 2019 forum.
Cabotage is the transport of goods or passengers between two places in the same country by a transport operator from another country.
The program of the EEC allows for the development of cabotage transportation and cargo allowed road carriers of one state to carry out transportation between settlements of another without special permits, which were required earlier.
"This should reduce consumer spending on transport services through the development of competition. At present, cabotage transportation of goods can begin between Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan," he said.
