Regular Kyrgyz-Austrian political consultations held

Bishkek, Sept.26, 2019. /Kabar/. Regular Kyrgyz-Austrian political consultations took place as part of the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Austria for 2018-2019.
The consultations were held at the level of Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Azizbek Madmarov and Director of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Ministry for European Affairs, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria Katharina Wieser.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that during the visit to Kyrgyzstan, Wieser is accompanied by a solid Austrian business delegation, which carries out its activities in the areas of IT-technologies, hydropower and various industries.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, and stressed the importance of further expansion of bilateral economic cooperation through the organization of the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Austrian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2020 and regular political consultations.
They stressed the proximity of positions on the main issues on the global agenda, and expressed their desire to develop cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and forums.
The issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union were also discussed, including the interaction of the countries within the framework of the new EU-CA Strategy.
