AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan plans to reduce export of grain up to 6-7 million tons this year due to the poor harvest, the First Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov told a briefing today, Vlast.kz reports. "It's difficult to speak about export in advance. We will collect 17 million, but anyway, export will be lower than last year. Therefore, we think about 6-7 million tons," Saparov noted.
According to him, reduction of export is due to the collected 17 million tons that are enough for meeting 100% of domestic demand, but the country should also keep some for reserve.
