President of Turkmenistan appoints new Interior Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - The Colonel Mammethan Chakyev was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan in accordance with the decrees of the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President's Office reports.
The Parliament of Turkmenistan agreed to the proposal of President Berdimuhamedov on the appointment of Mammethan Chakyev as Interior Minister.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Charymyrat Purchekov was assigned temporary duties of Deputy Prime Minister for the industrial and communication complex.
The Ex-Interior Minister Isgender Mulikov was dismissed from the post of Interior Minister by the President's decree and stripped of all state awards for serious shortcomings in work and in the management of the subordinate agencies, malpractice and flagrant violation of official duties.
