New HPP to appear in Naryn

AKIPRESS.COM - A hydro power plant with the capacity of 100 megawatt is planned to be built in Naryn district, regional government said. A land plot was allocated for these purposes near the Naryn River in Kulanak village, the report says.
Construction of a small HPP will be carried out by a local businessman Kuttubai Murzabayev.
The works will be carried out by Naryn production company.
At a moment, geology works are underway at the site of the project. Governor Amilbek Alymkulov has been at the site of the future HPP.
According to the preliminary reports, construction will start in spring 2020 and is planned to be finished within 3-3.5 years.
The HPP will supposedly be 2.5 times bigger than At-Bashy HPP. It also will have irrigation purposes.
