AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan ranked 96th out of 141 nations in the Global Competitiveness Index 2019 by the World Economic Forum.
In 2018, Kyrgyzstan ranked 97th out of 149 nations.
Among other EAEU member states, Kazakhstan ranked 55th, Russia 43rd, and Armenia 69th. Belarus was not covered by the ranking.
Among neighboring nations, Tajikistan ranked 104th, China 28th, Uzbekistan did not make it to the ranking.
Ten years on from the global financial crisis, the world economy remains locked in a cycle of low or flat productivity growth despite the injection of more than $10 trillion by central banks. The latest Global Competitiveness Report paints a gloomy picture, yet it also shows that those countries with a holistic approach to socio-economic challenges, look set to get ahead in the race to the frontier, the WEF said.
