AKIPRESS.COM - A regular Syrian peace talks within the Astana process might be postponed to November, Interfax said with reference to the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi. "We actually planned for the late October, but now we don't know how far it may be moved," Tleuberdi told journalists on October 12.
He said the event might be postponed for November.
"There are no exact dates yet, as you see, now there are complications in the north of Syria, therefore there is a question of dialogue between the guarantor countries. Therefore, we are waiting for a signal from them which day will be convenient for them," he explained.
The Minister noted that the Astana process does not lose its importance.
"The guarantor countries should meet and talk again. We are ready to organize the platform and a dialogue," he added.
