Ultrasound machine stolen from Kara-Balta hospice

AKIPRESS.COM - An ultrasound machine worth $2,000 was stolen from the Kara-Balta hospice on the night of Oct 11-12, Turmush reports.
The ultrasound machine was meant for medical examination of patients in serious condition, as well as elderly people from the Red Crescent nursing home. At the time of the theft, there were medical staff and patients who were being treated in the hospital.
Police are working on the spot to investigate the circumstances.
The hospice staff noted that the ultrasound machine's color display necessary for the equipment's functioning was not stolen for some reason.
The hospice itself belongs to the Red Crescent of Jayil district.
