PM Mamin tests first Kirovets tractor manufactured in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin paid a working trip to Kostanay region, his press service said.
Mamin visited the Kostanay Industrial Zone, where he took part in the opening ceremony of the Kirovets energy-saturated tractor factory at the Kostanay Tractor Plant. The design capacity of the enterprise is 700 equipments per year with a gradual increase in localization to 50% by 2025 (manufacture of plastic elements for the interior / exterior, since 2021 - high pressure hoses, ballast weights, since 2025 - cabs, tanks, and carrying frames , disks, driveshaft, counterweights, etc.).
The total investment in the project, which is being implemented in three stages, will amount to 7.3 billion tenge; it is planned to create about 500 new jobs in production and 700 in related industries.
In the presence of the prime minister, the Director General of Petersburgsky Tractorny Zavod JSC Sergey Serebryakov and the president of the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business Andrey Lavrentiev signed an agreement on the entry of Petersburgsky Tractorny Zavod JSC into the authorized capital of the Kostanay Tractor Plant.
The PM noted that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding the agricultural machinery market and its further export, deepening localization processes and increasing the level of service.
"The opening of modern production of energy-efficient tractors Kirovets in Kazakhstan meets the development strategy of domestic engineering. The launch of this project will create new high-performance jobs, produce tractors for agriculture and the housing sector, increase localization and develop related industries," said Mamin.
