Lawmaker calls authorities to take measures against those who proclaimed themselves as Gods

AKIPRESS.COM - The immediate measures must be taken against those who called themselves Gods, said MP Tazabek Ikramov at the parliament session on Thursday.
"They come out and call themselves Gods, give press conferences shouting out loud that God does not exists," he said. "The state religion affairs committee and the muftiyat must take action. Why are they allowed to sermonize, why aren't these people being punished?" he said.
Earlier, a public figure Arstan Alai gave a press conference to proclaim himself as a new God and that he learned to communicate with the universe. After his speech, a criminal probe into inciting to religious hatred was launched against Arstan Alai.
After that, his supporters gathered a press conference and also proclaimed themselves Gods and asked authorities to dare to prosecute them for that.
