AKIPRESS.COM - 2.9 billion tenge will be allocated for subsidizing the air communication between Nur-Sultan and Tokyo in 2020 from the state budget of Kazakhstan, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov said on Wednesday at the plenary session of the Parliament.
In terms of the development of aviation in general, the Minister said that that the volume of subsidies in this sector will reduce gradually.
"Our expenditures (for subsidizing the aviation) in 2020 will grow from 5 to 9 billion tenge. In 2019, due to the rise of prices for fuel, it was 2.7 billion tenge," Atamkulov said.
The Ministry at a moment provides assistant to the population by privileged prices for air tickets, he added.
Atamkulov said that the volume of subsidies will be reduced up to 2 billion tenge in 2021.
