AKIPRESS.COM - The anti-corruption service of Kazakhstan said it does not agree with the decision of the General Prosecutor's Office, which terminated the case against deputy governor of Almaty region, Zakon.kz reported.
According to Head of the investigation department of the anti-corruption service Kanat Suleimanov, the anti-corruption service launched the case after two citizens appealed to them.
"We registered their complaints and launched the investigation. The General Prosecutor's Office ceased the case due to the absence of criminal act, but we do not agree with this and file an opposition," Suleimanov noted.
The details of the investigation today will not be disclosed due to the secrecy of investigation, he added.
On October 30, Deputy Prosecutor General Marat Akhmetzhanov said that the case against deputy governor of Almaty region Bagdat Manzorov was closed due to the ansence of criminal act.
The General Prosecutor's Office pledged to take measures against the anti-corruption officials, who opened the case.
Manzorov on October 30 came to his work as deputy governor. He was detained in September 2019 on fraud charges.
