Car with a saker falcon was stopped in Kochkor, driver escaped

AKIPRESS.COM - A man is wanted in Kochkor district of Naryn region for illegal possession of endangered bird, said an employee of the district department of the State Environmental and Technical Safety Inspectorate Rysbek Suranchiev. The inspectors stopped the car illegally transporting a falcon at about 10:50 a.m. November 8, he said.
While checking the relevant documents, the driver fled the scene. The employees of the department could not catch him. The driver is now wanted.
This bird species is listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. The fine for illegal owning of the bird is 80,000 soms and 12,500 soms for illegal hunt.
