Tajikistan hands over chairmanship in ECO council of ministers to Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - The 24th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization was held in Antalya, Turkey on Nov 9, during which the Chairmanship in this Organization passed from Tajikistan to Turkey, Tajik Foreign Ministry reports.
The head of the delegation of our country, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khusrav Noziri, as a Chairman of the 23rd meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization, opened the session and delivered a statement highlighting the achievements of the Organization during the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this context, he pointed out the priority areas of cooperation in the ECO Region, stressing the importance of implementing result-oriented regional projects in various sectors, as well as the need to increase trade turnover between the member-states.
The 24th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization completed its work with the adoption of the final document - the Antalya Communique.
