Member of Kyrgyz Central Election Committee monitors presidential election in Romania

AKIPRESS.COM - Member of the Central Election Committee of Kyrgyzstan Adilet Satygulov took part in the election of the President of Romania as an international observer. This was announced by the CEC press service. More than 30 international observers monitored the preparation for the presidential election in Romania.
Satygulov participated in the monitoring as part of the bilateral cooperation between the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan and the Permanent Election Body of Romania.
Romania has a total of 18,740 election commissions and 838 ones in 98 countries.
In the first round, according to the website of the Permanent Electoral Body of Romania, voter turnout was 46.8%. More than 8.68 million citizens took part in the voting.
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, the National-Liberal Party leader, won the largest number of votes - 39%, the leader of the Social-Democratic Party Viorica Dancila won 22.5%. They made it to the runoff.
14 candidates participated in the presidential race. The runoff of the presidential election is scheduled for November 24.
