Over 6,000 personal assistants in republic provide services to children with disabilities

AKIPRESS.COM - Currently, 6,378 personal assistants provide social services to 6,560 children with disabilities, which need permanent nursing care and control, said Labor Ministry on Nov 13. New personal assistant service was introduced in Kyrgyzstan by the year beginning in order to provide assistance in the implementation of each child's right for the family ambiance and parent's assistance. Personal assistant also assist the child in the implementation of the individual rehabilitation program.
"Average monthly wage of the assistant reaches 4,900 soms. The voluntary patent and insurance police are purchase by the employees of the district administration at the expenses of state budget," the ministry said.
