New school buses appear in Ulaanbaatar for students from remote areas

AKIPRESS.COM - Some buses appeared in private schools of Ulaanbaatar for students from remote areas.
Now thousands of school children from remote areas of the capital will be able to use the services of school buses that started driving on November 14.
According to the administration of the Ulaanbaatar, a total of 40 buses will be transporting about 3,000 students from 27 schools twice a day.
The school buses will help reduce the traffic jams in the capital, as parents will not have to drive children to school and take them out of school.
To resolve the traffic problems in Mongolia, authorities decided to divide the streets into three zones in Ulaanbaatar.
Mongolia introduced an interesting traffic movement rule, which limits movement of vehicles on license plates. For example, the vehicles with the license plate ending with 1 and 6 are not allowed to drive on Mondays, 2 and 7 - on Tuesdays, 3 and 8 - on Wednesdays and 4 and 9 - on Thursdays, 5 and 0 - on Fridays and all vehicles are allowed to drive on weekends. However, this measure is not very effective yet.
