Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Italy discuss cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - The first meeting of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Italy was held in Bishkek on November 15, the MFA of Kyrgyzstan reports. The consultations were attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov and Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Italy Manlio Di Stefano.
They discussed a number of issues on bilateral and regional cooperation, including in the framework of the new EU strategy on Central Asia.
The Italian side supported the holding of the first economic forum of the EU and CA in Kyrgyzstan in 2020 to boost the economic cooperation.
The talks also addressed cooperation in trade and economic and investment spheres, creation of the necessary bilateral legal tools on protection and attraction of investments, as well as new ways on increasing the mutually beneficial trade.
