Kyrgyz poets and writers gain prizes at Open Eurasia literature festival in Belgium

AKIPRESS.COM - Poets and writers from Kyrgyzstan won prizes at the 8th international competition Open Eurasia 2019 in Belgium. The literature competition was held on November 13-17 with participation of more than 30 countries of the world.
The total prize fund was $31,000.
In the category of Prose, Temirbek Joldobayev and a Belarusian Alexandr Chigolsky won the third places. The first place in the category of Poetry was given to Sagynbubu Berkinaliyeva from Kyrgyzstan, who received $1,000.
Akylbek Jumanaliyev won the 3rd place in the category of Publicism.
During the festival, ex-Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev was awarded a medal of Henryk Sienkiewicz medal.
