More than 2 billion tenge late fees of Kazakhstanis written off as part of tax amnesty

AKIPRESS.COM - As part of the tax amnesty for individuals, more than 500,000 Kazakhstanis were written off their late fees in the amount of 2.15 billion tenge, the acting Director of the department of tac methodology committee of the state revenues of the Ministry of Finances of Kazakhstan Daulet Zharylgasinov at the press conference. "As of January 1, 2019, the number of individuals, who have debts and opportunities to use the campaign on writing off the late fees, reached to about 1.4 million people. As of November 14, 2019, 507,472 individuals were written their debts off," Zharylgasinov said.
The most number of individuals with late fees were registered in Almaty - 92,487, Turkestan region - 57,988 and Shymkent - 11,444. The most fees were in Almaty - 971.6 million tenge.
