Number of road accidents reduces in Bishkek but only at intersections with cameras

AKIPRESS.COM - A number of road accidents at the intersections with Safe City cameras decreased twice in Bishkek, the patrol police told AKIpress. However, the number of traffic accidents in the country in January-October 2019 increased by 10.6% (from 4,892 to 5,416) compared to the same period of 2018.
The report says that the reduction of road accidents in Bishkek and Chui region is observed only at the camera-equipped sites.
In particular, road accidents decreased by 45.1% in Bishkek, in Chui region - by 50%.
All road accidents regardless of severity of injuries are registered in the single register of offense and crimes of Kyrgyzstan since January 1, 2019.
