AKIPRESS.COM - Employees of the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety of Kyrgyzstan on November 21 held a raid of marshrutkas on compliance with the environmental norms.
According to chief inspector Kamil Sultanmuratov, the check covered marshrutkas of the JSC Eastern Express. The employees checked the mini buses with the help of a smokescope. Two vehicles revealed higher level of emmissions than the critical standards.
According to representative of the Inspectorate, the Eastern Express company will be imposed fines in the amount of 17,000 som.
One of the marshrutka drivers said that everything depends on the quality of diesel fuel, which is imported from Kazakhstan. Some filling stations sell the diesel fuel of poor quality cheaper than the others. They should be checked, he told AKIpress.
