Kyrgyzstan becomes member of Asian Harmonization Working Group

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan became the member Asian Harmonization Working Group at the annual meeting of 24th Asian Harmonisation Working Party (AHWP) in Oman on Nov 11-14. According to the medicine provision department, a delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by the director of department Gulmira Shakirova took part in the forum.
The Asian Harmonisation Working Party (AHWP) was established as a non-profit organisation in 1996. Its goals are to study and recommend ways to harmonise medical device regulations in the Asian and other regions and to work in coordination with the International Medical Device Regulators Forum ( IMDRF) and other related international organisations aiming at establishing harmonised requirements, procedures and standards. The Working Party is a group of experts from the medical device regulatory authorities and the medical device industry. Membership is open to those representatives from the Asian and other regions that support the above stated goals.
